ok, so im a slacker. i just checked out brandon hines’ new youtube vid covering his live session that came out in december =( but hey, better late than never!

here, brandon hines links up frankie celenza again to do another live session. song of choice is james taylor’s “you’ve got a friend.” and needless to say, bhines sounds amazing! his voice is out this world. you can just feel his words & that’s what real music is about.

restroom attendant complains about tips, or lack thereof

so i went to “public bar” in dc. place was cool but i just thought it was weird for a sports bar to have VIP sections and bottle service. like, that’s just weird. but hey, get in where you fit in.

anyway, i ended up needing to use the restroom. i did what i had to do & as i approach the restroom attendant for a paper towel [since she was practically holding it for ransom]…her she goes complaining about lack of tips! like, you cant be serious. & of course she wasn’t complaining to me b/c i would’ve just given her the blankest stare ever. she’s over here complaining to my friends about her lack of tips & how just like any other person, she’s tryna get their money. that itself is totally understand but honey, you’re going at it all wrong.

1. you do not complain about your job while you’re working! flat out, it’s unprofessional. if i hired you, i’d be quick to fire you; my establishment has a name to uphold & you will not bring it down!
2. i feel, i shouldnt have to tip you to get a paper towel! seriously. what? am i suppose to dry my hands off my ass i just wiped? the restrooms came equipped with papers towels, so stop acting like it’s yours!
3. now, if i used one of your products, took some of your gum/candy, etc, then a tip is pretty much in order…

…otherwise, chiiillllll! seriously, whether you’re a restroom attendant or a CEO, it’s never cool to complain about your job especially while you’re on the clock. do it at happy hour with your friends or something. it really just makes you look bad…how do you expect to be taken seriously?

so word to the wise, just put on a fake smile if u have to. suck it up. if you’re not happy, no one else is happy. so don’t think i’ll take pity on you and tip you. simply change your approach. & be kind…it goes a long way

guys, take the hint [i'm not interested]…

lately, it seems like guys just don’t know how to take the hint that you’re simply just not interested…just because i’m friendly doesn’t mean i like you!

yes, i know im different. yes i know im not like most girls, but NO i’m not interested. get a clue. i’m just friendly. that’s how i became friends with you in the first place and that’s how it will remain…unless i decide otherwise. and if that time ever comes, you will know my friend, TRUST ME.

so in the meantime, please do not impose. this includes:

• asking me if i miss you, like you, want you, etc…don’t ask if u can’t face the truth. i will deadass tell u that i dont miss u. and no, it is not me playing hard to get. it is me trying to get through to your puny brain that i don’t like you.
• dont ask me out on dates. let’s put it this way, “i’m just too busy.” and if one day i do decide to go out with you, in my eyes, it’s not a date. im just going out with you b/c i had nothing better to do…this goes for trips too…i have to be really bored with my life to spend more than 24hrs with you…just sayin.
• do not blow up my phone. most likely i am busy, aka ignoring you. but if i am busy, i’ll eventually get back to you. otherwise, do not text me everyday until you get a response or hit me up at late hours. who told you you could do that? we are not cool like that. & as a side note, my phone does have the option of sending ppl straight to voicemail. don’t find your way to that category.

i could go on & on, but hopefully, you get the point. but just take this piece of advice: face the truth & move on…AND change your approach. we don’t like thirsty guys…so don’t let that be you!

ok, so i’ve never been a real fan of this song; it’s alright. but i do like the addition of lady gaga on the song. and surprisingly enough, she looks normal in the video & pretty too….BUT this video is dope. it’s really simple, but dope. love all the little scene changes

am i the only one who thinks the girl has no ass? not that i care BUT if you’re promoting shoes that tone your ass, shouldn’t your model have one to begin with? kinda just looked like she had a long, extended back…i’m just saying.

r-les’ “transition” album drops today!

today, november 2nd, 2009, ryan leslie’s 2nd album this year, drops! it’s called transition and looks like this:

i got the chance to take a listen to it yesterday. you know i had to be on it, being a huge r-les supporter. and if you want my honest opinion, the album is so-so. i was expecting so much more because this made is built on talent. when i get a new album in my hands, i usually have the joint on rotation, album on repeat. after i was done with this, i was kinda ready to be on to the next. don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad album but it’s definitely not on the level of the self-titled ryan leslie album. and i feel, if you’re gonna drop another album within the same year as another album, it should be just as good if not better. but he does have some good tracks that i can rock with…

btw, did i mention that she’s bad? coming from behind the scenes of writing songs for other artists [britney spears, ciara, etc], she’s in the lime light now, showing the world she can sing too, among her many talents…and she’s gorgeous! i can’t always say i agree with the things she wears sometimes but for the most part, she’s got it together!

got the chance to see her perform at Temple University’s “Welcome Week” with The Dream. She’s a great performer & she’s funny. definitely kept the crowd engaged…so keri, go ahead girl! you got this!…this is only the beginning, im sure
